Abstract [eng] At the global level, the migration of people from one place to another occurs for various reasons. Having a strong, regulated integration of the communities within a society is an important aspect of the successful governance of the nation. The mediatization of immigration has a significant impact on society and can influence political communication. In the cases of Lithuania and Florida state in the USA, the mediatized political communication on immigration has become an important subject to be studied with much significance due to the influx of migrants. Therefore, this dissertation aims to investigate media-infused immigration perceptions and their effects on integration policies. To find it out, this study uses five frames, such as victim, threat, responsibility, administrative, and return home. The theoretical approach of the dissertation was based on theories such as transnational migration, agenda setting, framing, and social cohesion. The data for the study were obtained from Lithuania and Florida in 2019. During the Erasmus + internship period in Florida, direct interviews with migrants and NGO representatives were obtained. The study revealed that, on a global level, the perception of immigration varies according to the region. In both Lithuania and Florida, the media play an important role in political communication on immigration. The media's framing strategy shows that in both places, various news reports point to and classify immigrant-related news into various frames.
