Abstract [eng] The aim of this work is to compare the detection effectiveness of inclusions and delamination type defects found in adhesively bonded joints using non-contact NDT methods and different data fusion techniques. Carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer composite bonded joints were investigated with aircoupled ultrasound and induction thermography measurements. Three types of samples were tested with inserted bonded joint interface defects: 12,7 mm polymethyl pentene release film, 12,7 mm and 6,35 mm size brass inclusions. Raw measurement data were preprocessed with denoising, coordinate matching and amplitude normalization steps. Prepared NDT data sets were used for application of standard mathematical (difference, average, weighted average and Hadamard product) operation and statistical (Dempster-Shafer theory) data fusion algorithms. NDT measurement and fusion result effectiveness were evaluated by receiver operating characteristic curves and calculated area under curve values.
