The final master's thesis "Courier route analysis and optimization" investigates the quality and efficiency of the courier delivery route, compares the differences between the human factor and the optimized route of mathematical algorithm. Economic indicators of business are compared, such as reduction of fuel costs, wear and tear of vehicles, speed of shipment delivery and customer satisfaction. The analysis is performed with the Power BI tool, R software selected for mathematical modeling. The study is conducted with real consignment delivery data. In the general part of the work, the methods of driving route planning are analyzed, the advantages are identified and the disadvantages are identified. After modeling, the actual delivery routes are compared with the optimized routes. The efficiency of route planning was determined during the comparative analysis. Conclusions and summary related to the work and research results are presented. |
