Technological change and accelerating globalisation are forcing companies to rethink the rules of the competition between themselves. Human resource management professionals, formerly limited to administrative functions, are becoming increasingly strategic in today’s context. The idea that these professionals can contribute to creating valuable partnerships with business and provide significant added value to organizations is increasingly being put forward. One of the positions that stand out for its strategic role and its close cooperation with business is Human Resources Business Partner, which gaining increasing interest in science and business. Regarding corporate social responsibility, it is noticeable that socially responsible activities have recently been increasingly integrated into the strategic management of companies and are a source of competitive advantage. Internal corporate social responsibility is usually defined by the behaviour of companies towards their employees and is therefore traditionally associated with human resource management practices. However, the question of who in the organization should be responsible for implementing these activities is often asked. As the Human Resources Business Partner has a strategic role and links human resources practices with business needs, it is considered that the Human Resources Business Partner can play an important role in the design and implementation of internal corporate social responsibility. |
